Adjusting to Working from Home – Don in Labs

I am the Scientific Computing adviser here at Puget Systems. Many of us are sharing our work-from-home stories for coping with the changes to our normal life and work routines during the COVID-19 quarantine. I have already been working from home for a few years and wanted to share my setup and offer some tips that I hope will encourage you if you are suddenly finding yourself bewildered by disruption to your work-life.

Adjusting to Working from Home – Matt in Labs

With the all the COVID-19 quarantining going on in Washington state, I have now been working out of my home office for about 3 weeks. In the spirit of helping those who are either working from home for the first time, or simply not used to doing so full time, I thought I would share my setup and strategies on how to be productive from home.

Adjusting to Working from Home – William in Labs

This is the first entry in a series of blog posts from various folks here at Puget Systems, showing how each of us are coping with the changes to our normal life and work routines during the COVID-19 quarantine. In this installment, William George shows his work-from-home setup and talks about the struggle to focus on work in the midst of a family of five.

Puget Systems Response to Coronavirus

The spread of COVD-19 is having significant impact on our company, and the computer industry as a whole. In this post, I’ll fill you in on what’s happening, and what we are doing to mitigate the impact, and keep YOU up and running!

3D Artist Joins the Labs Team

As the newest member of the Puget Systems Labs team, I’d like to take a moment to introduce myself and give a brief glimpse into what we have planned.

How Customer Feedback Makes Us Better

At Puget Systems, we have both formal and informal avenues by which we collect feedback from our customers. In terms of informal feedback, customers speak to sales and support staff on a daily basis and often share their experiences about our people and products. Feedback like this might be shared with the team or escalated to a manager if there’s an issue to which we need to react.

Event Schedule For 2018

In 2018, our goal is to get out there where our customers are to learn more about them, learn more about their workflow, and find out what more we can do to optimize our systems and experience to those exact needs. Are there any events that we should attend that aren’t on this list? Let us know!

Have a problem? Don’t Wait!

I was recently having some issues with my cable internet and TV. At first, the cable box would periodically freeze and we’d be unable to change the channel. About the same time, the internet would cut out as well too. At first, it was only happening a couple of times a week. Eventually, it started happening a couple times a day.

A note…

To our readers: If you would permit me, I would like to use the blog for my own purposes. From time to time, I would like to write to my team, currently the 36 people who call Puget home. Why don’t I simply email each of them instead of publishing here? I want these letters to be a stake in the ground, and there is no better way to commit than to say it publicly. I hope you enjoy these letters as well, as they provide a little peak behind the curtain.
