How To Remove The Puget Tools Application

During the installation process here at Puget Systems we install the 'Puget Systems Support tool'. We do this to help make it easier on you if you ever need to get in touch with our Support department. However, we also realize that some users may not desire this feature in their system. This guide offers step-by-step instructions for those that wish to remove the tool.

Step 1:

Start the computer normally and wait for everything to load.

Step 2:

Locate the 'Puget Systems Support Tool' application in the Windows Taskbar at the bottom right side of your screen.

Step 3:

Right click the 'Puget Systems Support Tool' application and select 'Exit Puget Systems Support Tool'.

Step 4:

Next open 'File Explorer' and navigate to 'This PC'

Step 5:

At the top of the screen, expand the 'View' tab and select the box for 'Hidden Items'. This will show the folder we need.

Step 6:

Open the 'C' drive, often named 'Local Disk'. In here you will find a folder named 'MySupportAssist'. Right click this folder and select 'Delete'.

Step 7:

Restart the computer.

Step 8:

Once the system is back up and booted to the desktop, you can check the Taskbar in the bottom right to confirm the application is no longer loading.
