New Keyboard and Mouse options

In a continual effort to offer higher quality components and better options, we recently took a look at our keyboard and mouse selection in answer to some recent feedback from customers.  The keyboard peripheral offerings were an area that hadn't received a lot of attention for quite a while due to our busy workload and growth here at Puget Systems.  However, we now have some better choices in this area.

We will be carrying new wired, and wireless keyboard options.

For a wired keyboard, we will be offering the Das Keyboard 4 Professional which utilizes (Cherry MX Brown) mechanical keys.  These are quieter (less clicky) than Cherry MX Blue mechanical keys, yet are a bit louder than typical membrane switch keys, but give much better feedback than your typical membrane switch keyboards.  These Cherry MX Brown keys tend to more accurately recognize keystrokes verses membrane type keyboards.  As a result this provides an added benefit of increasing your typing speed.

To pair with the wired keyboard, we will be carrying the Logitech M500 Corded Mouse.  This is a great corded mouse with a high accuracy 1000dpi precision laser, (2) buttons on the left side, and a scroll wheel with fast scrolling and tilt scroll function.

The new wireless keyboard we will be offering is the Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K750.  Having a wireless desktop can be a very nice way to remove the cable clutter from your work space.  However, one pain of wireless devices is that they seem to run out of batteries at the worst times, such as when you are in the middle of work you need to complete for a deadline.  The benefit of this solar keyboard is that it doesn't have batteries to be replaced and is solar powered instead.  It can be powered either by sunlight or office lighting.  The Logitech Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 keyboard can stay charged for up to 3 months without any light source at all!  This keyboard also uses the Logitech Unifying Receiver, so if you use a compatible Logitech mouse, you only need to use the single USB receiver, rather than multiples.

Matching to this wireless keyboard is the Logitech Marathon Mouse M705.  This wireless mouse uses the same Unifying Receiver, so you only need to use one USB port with the Unifying Receiver to work for both the Logitech Solar Keyboard K750 and Logitech Marathon Mouse M705.  This mouse uses (2) AA batteries and is listed as having up to three years of battery life.  An indicator on the top of the mouse lets you know when the battery is low so that it provides you with time to get replacements. It has (2) buttons on the left side, and scroll wheel with fast scrolling.

Look for these keyboard and mouse options to be showing up in our offerings!
