Puget Systems Teams Up with Vū to Unveil New Technologies for Virtual Production at HPA Tech Retreat 2023
Puget Systems and Vū Together at HPA Tech Retreat to Demonstrate New Virtual Production Innovations; Vū Previews Software Designed to Control a Network of Studios Remotely, and Powered by Puget Systems
Auburn, WA (February 15, 2023) – Puget Systems (www.pugetsystems.com) today announced that it is teaming up with Vū (www.vu.network) at the annual HPA Tech Retreat in Palm Springs next week to demonstrate an early preview of Vū’s newest software innovations designed to remotely control a network of virtual production studios. Debuting for the first time at the HPA Tech Retreat in the conference’s ‘Innovation Zone,’ executives from Puget Systems and Vū will be on hand to demonstrate these new virtual production technologies, powered by Puget Systems custom workstations, and to discuss with attendees the strategies and technologies necessary for creating global networks of truly virtualized studio suites.
Puget Systems and Vū have been engaged in a collaborative effort to drive standardization of virtual production hardware for the industry, and early last year, the two companies entered into an agreement in which Vū named Puget Systems as the exclusive workstations provider for all Vū Studios facilities across the country. Since that agreement, Vū has standardized on Puget Systems workstations for both their artist and render node needs. Vū is an emerging force in shaping the growing virtual production market with an expanding global network of Vū-operated and affiliate studios and an evolving set of software tools.
Partnering with Vū at the HPA Tech Retreat to demonstrate Vū’s new software offerings, Puget Systems’ goal is to add substantive value to attendees’ experience at the conference with tech demos and discussions about an important new trend – virtualized studios and the technology to support them – that has been emerging as a significant need in the industry.
