Background on Intel Xeon E (Coffee Lake) CPU
Intel's Xeon E workstation and server processors are built for reliability and affordability, with business users and entry-level servers in mind. This series is based on the same "Coffee Lake" CPU architecture that is found in the eighth and ninth generation of the Core processor series, and similarly the biggest improvement here is in core count. Up to eight core chips are now available under this Xeon lineup, while still maintaining good clock speeds, built-in graphics, and ECC memory support.
