Background on Intel Xeon W-3300 Series
Intel's Xeon W-3300 series is based on the Ice Lake architecture. This brings a higher core count and more memory channels to a single-socket workstation platform than Intel has previously offered, in part enabled by the use of a smaller 10nm manufacturing processing. That combination makes these Xeon W chips a great choice for high performance workstations, especially when AVX512 extension support or high memory capacities are needed.
