"April 2021 - After seven years, --- Yikes! - that long - I've replaced my old Puget system, BIGX4 (4th Puget system - Intel i7-3930K - 16 GB RAM - SSD boot drive) with Puget5, a AMD 5900X - 64GB RAM - EVGA-RTX 3080 video - Samsung 980 Pro 1 TB M.2 SSD boot drive - so very fast! Photoshop CC 2021 and Premiere Pro were really dragging - making Covid video work not fun, so I went to check out Puget again. I spent hours researching AMD and EVGA video, thought of building it myself, went on Puget site, spoke to Puget folk about various components choices - very helpful, looked a pricing and availability for AMD CPUs and video cards (impossible to find except at tripled pricing). I spoke to Stubbers (yes - he is mysterious - but very knowledgeable, Jon Allman, Ben Bohnen, Alicia Menson, and other Puget folk.
Ordered, got my system in just a few weeks, plugged it in, and it worked. Oops - then I realized I had more to do. Bringing over my existing two hard drives was easy, but then when I was trying to install some Adobe software from a CD/DVD, I hadn't thought to order a new DVD drive. I needed help in installing the DVD drive from my old PC into the new Fractal Design case... did I need a new bracket?, did I have the power and data cables? So I called Puget System's support - one phone call and got a knowledgeable tech. After some discussions and a few emails - done! Same for installing a spare 2.5" SSD where I needed some extra cables. My wife has a Dell laptop and there's no comparison between Puget's excellent support and Dell's.
This is my 5th Puget system. While looking for a desktop upgrade, I looked at Dell, Acer, and others, finding PC choices put together by the hundreds but not on target matching my specific needs. Through dialogue with Puget folk we talked about what specific work I do - which software I use - their responses showed me they and their website are knowledgeable about the work requirements for photographers and video editors. We walked through the selection of each component based on my work. Again a clear difference from mass producers to Puget custom builds. I'm very satisfied with the system AND knowing the people who built it are standing behind it, just a phone call away if I need help. I recommend them highly.

"I saw the Smarter Everyday YouTube video with Puget Systems then realized that's the place my dad had purchased 2 computers from. I was actually using one of them as a hand me down since dad was buying another one from Puget. Even though I read all the reviews ( all very positive) I was still blown away by the customer care I received. I bought a custom built computer for my home not a business. I am a gamer on it mostly. I also do a lot of 3D modeling and I am starting to turn my set up into a recording, engineering and mastering studio. All are just hobbies. "To begin, I’m extremely impressed with Puget Systems customer service. They go the extra mile to communicate what is happening as they accept your order and build your custom computer. They posted regular updates as the computer was built and by using the names of the employees who were assigned the tasks, they helped to really make one feel that Puget Systems is not just a big faceless company and that my own needs were being addressed. I’ve never seen anyone do a better job.
I read reviews to see what other customers are saying and I’m often very irritated by reviews on the web site of a large online retailer where some customers will give a poor rating because of something ridiculous like the fact that they cut their finger when opening the shipping box. With Puget Systems I read reviews on their site and a photography forum unrelated to Puget Systems and the comments were impressive. Their systems were reported as performing well using the software of their choice. One was a little surprised that things worked so fast that he could no longer watch the progress while using stacking software. One was from a customer who had a part failure and he described in detail how helpful the company was in quickly resolving the problem. Others said that from their experiences that they would never switch. Should I have a problem with my purchase it will be wonderful to talk to someone who will not be reading from a script where the first action will be to ask me to clear my cache!
Their level of expertise is also very impressive. It had never occurred to me that I could work with someone who knew the software I was using, had selected components that would work best for that software, and that even ran some of their benchmark testing using features of the software. The person I first asked for recommendations was also a photographer and he knew from the specifications for my current system what the problems were and how to address them. I use Lightroom and Photoshop for my work and when I saw that they tested my build using a current version of Photoshop and the Smart Sharpen Filter I was impressed! Puget Systems has also published numerous papers describing their research, testing, and conclusions that are available to anyone, not just the customers who have already made a purchase. This was very helpful to me in making my configuration decisions.
When the computer arrived, it was packed as described and was in great shape. Puget Systems showed their level of care again as they included extra cables to connect my monitor and a bag of extra knurled screws in case I lost one. The system has met my expectations in that all of the choke points I was experiencing have gone away, software loads quickly, and the “Edit in Photoshop” transfer from Lightroom to Photoshop is performed so quickly that Photoshop doesn’t hang during the process and there is no waiting time.

"Puget Systems is a very bright light in the otherwise dark and unfriendly world of customer support. They build great performing systems. They know their stuff. Most importantly they treat their customers in a very special way -- they acknowledge that you time is important. Today was good example: even though the tech support team was busy, the sales person that answered my call simply jumped in and got the service call started. When I later had to call back and my service adviser was on another line, the person who answered the phone didn't say "let me have him call you back." Instead they simply looked up the status of my call, jumped right in and walked me through the problem -- which turned out to be a failed monitor part; not Puget system's fault. This type of customer service is really hard to find and is even better from a Company that starts by building the best PC systems! Thank you!"

"I've bought a few custom PC's before, and Puget went above and beyond all expectations and experiences I've had with other companies. They helped me find exactly the right computer parts that were specifically tailored to what I wanted to get out of my PC within my price range. They also explained which parts were better for which price and why in great detail when asked.
