Which system is right for you?
There are so many different models, brands, and revisions of hardware that choosing the right components for your system can be a huge challenge. We've taken the time to perform in-depth analysis to determine exactly what kind of hardware will give you the best possible performance when using a CPU-based rendering engine. This ensures that you will be getting a system that has all the capabilities you need without spending money on components that will not be beneficial.
CPU-based rendering engines can be very demanding on your system and respond extremely well to having a more powerful CPU. Due to the high hardware requirements for optimal performance, our single CPU system offers Intel's "High End" desktop processors with anywhere from 6 to 10 CPU cores. This high number of cores allows them to complete renders anywhere from 30% to twice as fast as a standard quad-core CPU.
Just because this system is terrific for rendering, that doesn't mean it isn't also great for general 3d modeling. All of the CPU options on this system are able to Turbo to speeds up to 4.0GHz which makes this system a great compromise when you need excellent rendering performance, but also need the system to work well when working in 3D modeling applications such as 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema4D, AutoCAD, or SOLIDWORKS.
If you need the fastest render times possible, look no further than our dual CPU workstation with two Intel Xeon E5 V4 processors. Most rendering engines are highly effective at utilizing a larger number of CPU cores, and with anywhere from 20 to 44 cores, this workstation should be able to complete large renders roughly 2-3 times faster than our single CPU system.
This system is based on our Genesis II certified system and includes all of the features that come with that system including free 1-year Next Business Day Onsite Service + 24hr Help Desk support.
While not listed on the base configuration, with fairly minor tweaks this system can be capable of using up to four video cards if you use a mix of both CPU and GPU-based rendering engines.
